From the first MGF cars that were made from 1995 the handles would repeatably fall off due to the plastic clip being of inadequate design. The mirrors were the same as the Metro/RV8 so these can be used for these applications.
This new product designed to be clamped in place with a grub screw resolved this annoying problem. 
The 1.6 TF cars had manual mirrors so these will fit.
After September 1999 MGF's had electric mirrors.
