NOTE when ordering we need to know if you are fitting to an MGF or TF as the bellcrank is different. Please select the correct option.
NEW DESIGN ALERT SSKV1 Revised 1/5/21 See revised detail below SS.SSK V111.
The lastest design has now been improved yet again..this time to the main pivot to incorporate a replacement bush allowing the SSK to be rebuilt when worn. The price has increased slightly to accomodate the additional cost of this bush
The ultimate gear change mechanism now in it's 24th year of production with thousands sold world wide. The new SSK V (revised Feb 2017) designed by Mike Satur and assembled in-house on our own jigs and fixtures to ensure accurate and precision assembly and now with revised components to give an improved gear change and better lubrication.
Please note that some of the mating parts eg cables and clamp are made by other suppliers and may require some degree of fitting due to the variances in these components.(Now supplied with redesigned clamp! The fixing points in the car can also vary so try the frame into the car before making the connections and make any adjustments before final fixing. My latest design in stainless steel eliminates some of these issues but as the instructions say adjust to suit your car by bending the legs to align with the screw holes.
Some components have been upgraded for competition use and will withstand even the roughest of use. We have made the gear lever out of brushed stainless steel to improve the looks and strength this could be polished for a chrome effect. We have redesigned (2017) the rod ends on the SSK V so they are stronger.. The SSK V1 comes with the gearbox bell crank and new rod ends. The bellcranks for the MGF and TF are different so please state when ordering if your car is a MGF or a TF model.
Please note that our SSK may not fit later LE500 models (Chinese components) this would involve replacing the cables for the UK made ones or re-threading the cable ends to M6 thread. Please call us to check 01782 373547.
NOTE these have also been fitted to GTM and Aerial Atom that use the PG1 gearbox.
Picture shows MGF installation by Graham Elliot at Autospot MG.
NOTE you can order spare rod ends call to order these are £8 plus vat each..another price increase!!
If your gear change is sloppy, difficult to find the right gear and rusty as the last picture ..time for a change!!

From 25/8/21 there is a stainless steel option for the MGF. The gearchange frame is made from stainless steel with new SS cable clamp and the bell crank made in stainless steel to a revised design!! I have done this with the frame and clamp as some O.E parts were not aligning correctly with some cars and this eliminates this issue. The best just got better!! Please select the option for this.
NOW 25/4/22 a TF stainless steel bell crank option is available, no other bell crank is made this way with a revised longer boss to spread the load and wear on the gearbox shaft. See photo!
Warning the
'Slick Shift Kit' is only available from Mike Satur. If you see a similar named part from another supplier it is
NOT the same kit and will not perform the same and likely to cost a lot more!! All parts are made under my strict quality control and whenever possible improvements will be made.Recently seen from a Dutch retailer a 'copy' that is over 400 Euros!! and it is made of cheaper materials!
NOW with laser cut logo and free slickshift sticker!
Combined postage is available when multiple products are ordered.

Hi Mike
Just wanted to let you know what a difference the Slick Shift has made. It’s amazing, it’s a night and day difference and has made the car an absolute pleasure to drive. Feels like a proper sports car
Thanks again.
