Replaces original fuel pump in the tank and fits all MGF and TF derivatives. Some later LE cars use a slightly wider pump so if you want this select the correct option with the sleeve.
Note some of the OE pumps are now obsolete and if available they can cost £300 plus.
Fitting a used one is ,in my opinion, a waste of time.Even one from a 2004 car is 20 years old and is likely to fail! Do not test these out of the tank as they require the fuel as a lubricant to run, damage is likely to occur if not lubricated!! Used ones not run for a while are likely to be gummed up due to old fuel turning into goo!!
Note: The OE fuel pump is housed in the main pump assembly.In order to replace it, it has to be disassembled and the old pump removed. The new pump is supplied with a length of hose to replace the O.E plastic one and the wiring has to be be remade. The kit comes with hose clamps and wire connectors to enable it to be installed.
The stock fuel pump flows approx 2 litres per minute at 3 BAR pressure.  For performance tuned vehicles under constant load this performance will drop off and could cause fuelling problems such as lean running,misfiring and loss of power.  Our new high performance pump at 3.5 BAR flows 4 litres per minute and will continue without dropping off. Most fuel pumps will have flowed thousands of gallons of fuel and be well past their best and even partially blocked with tank debris, get a 'tune up' and find that lost performance and better MPG through efficiency.
If your car has been laid up for any length of time then modern fuels will cause the pump to become blocked with a build up of gummy deposits and the best way to restore efficient fuelling is with a new pump.
Removing the old pump and dry testing it can cause damage and unless you have the correct testing equipment to test under pressure/load it is a waste of time.
Also recommended is the FPR( fuel pressure regulator) this allows you to adjust the pressure and maintain the correct pressure suited to your engine.
I have used these pumps for over 20 years to replace the stock pumps under racing conditions and found them to be an ideal replacement..I even used one on my Harley Davison V-Rod when that packed up!
